Initial Consultation
60-90 Minutes

Comprehensive psychiatric assessment including clinical interview, identification of challenges, discussion of treatment goals, education, treatment planning, and coordination of care.
Medication Management Follow-Up
25-30 Minutes
$175
For established patients only. These sessions typically occur every 4-12 weeks and involve review of current treatments, discussion of any changes in treatment plan, and brief therapeutic interventions.
Combined Medication Management & Therapy
45 Minutes
$350
For established patients only. These sessions include review of current treatment and modification of treatment plan as needed, but allow more time during the appointment for therapeutic interventions.
Psychotherapy
45 Minutes
$300
For established patients only. These sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly and focus on therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Due to limited availability, most patients seeking frequent or long term therapy may require a referral to an outside therapist.
Phone Consultation
Up to 15 Minutes
$45
For established patients only at physician discretion. If more complex issues arise between appointments, a brief phone consultation may be scheduled to address these issues. Not intended to used in lieu of a face to face follow-up appointment.
Limitations
Low Acuity Practice
Please be aware that South Austin Psychiatry is a low-acuity model. It may not be able to serve the needs of those requiring a higher level of care, case management, more intensive services, or after-hours access. Additionally, no urgent, after-hours, or emergency services are available.

Prescribe stimulants (e.g. Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse) or benzodiazepines (e.g. Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan) without my own evaluation & assessment which may take multiple visits

Offer new diagnosis of ADHD in adults without neuropsychological testing

Complete disability paperwork for patients seen for less than 4 months

Complete emotional support animal letters

Perform forensic evaluations, child custody evaluations, or fitness for duty evaluations
